Earlier this year, we were sad to have to close our doors and restrict sales to online customers only, but to protect the safety of our customers and employees, we felt it was necessary. Since then, we have been working on adjusting our operations for the new normal.
For starters, our hours have changed slightly. As of June 15th, we will be open from Monday to Friday from 8:00am – 5:00pm and will be closed on weekends until further notice. As much as we want to be able to offer convenient hours for our customers, these hours help our staff restock, service online orders and maintain the safety of our facility. As usual, emergency service is always available.
Our new COVID-19 safety policy is intended to minimize risk by following the guidance of the Provincial Health Office and integrating industry best practices. Minimizing contact and reducing the occupancy of our store is an incredibly effective way to do this, so we are extending the offer of curbside pickup to all orders, not just phone and online orders.
We have changed the layout of our front room and warehouse to encourage physical distancing. Our counters have plexiglass barriers, and our store is introducing policies to maintain physical distancing amongst staff and customers. Our staff regularly clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces, such as payment machines, counters, and doorknobs. We will continue to refine and adjust these measures in the interest of the safety of our staff and customers. We have also implemented a mask policy and ask that customers wear masks while in the store for the safety of our employees, other customers and themselves.
When you checkout at the store counters, we now require customers conducting business at our counters to provide their name and phone number. This personal information will only be provided to the Provincial Health Office for contact tracing if requested and will NOT be used for any other purpose.
We have a new Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) product category. As a leading provider of production supplies and expendables, now have in stock all the masks, face shields, disposable gloves and sanitizing gels, fluids, and wipes for the industry at the best price possible.
We now pass all incoming product inventory and rental returns through our UV sanitation tent in our shipping/receiving area. UV light is a proven method to disinfect surfaces of various pathogens including viruses. This step has been added to the usual maintenance of equipment.
As studios re-open and production resume, we are committed to doing our part to supply our customers as best as we can in a safe and effective manner.
