Ferric Chloride

Ferric chloride is commonly used as a Lewis acid for catalyzing reactions, such as Friedel-Crafts reaction of aromatics and chlorination of aromatic compounds. Ferric chloride is used as coagulants or flocculants for odor control, phosphorus removal and hydrogen sulphide minimization.
