Ice Gel is a soft clear wax that can be melted, sprayed, poured or painted on to surfaces to simulate clear ice. The effect produced is extremely realistic. The wax is usually very clear but will discolour, gaining a yellow ochre tint after repeated heating, overheating or extended exposure to UV light. The lower melt point of 87 – 97 degrees C makes this an easy material to work with and is often used for dressing sets with other materials such as Ice Wax white and Ice Wax clear. Ice Gel is easy to remove though, surfaces should be tested first to check for possible damage.
Pelleted Wax is a soft, white wax material with a low melt temperature, excellent for creating white ice effects. This material is easily melted and poured onto any surface to create a hard, arctic ice effect. Can be used on water to produce a floating ice effect.
