CRL 33S Silicone is especially designed for joining and sealing most non-porous building materials including a variety of structural materials: glass, aluminum, metal alloys, stainless steel, wood and plastics. It has a wide operating temperature range of -80 to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (-62 to 204 degrees Celsius), and can be applied at outdoor temperatures as low as -35 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit (-37 to 60 degrees Celsius). 33S exhibits strong physical properties: 350 psi Tensile Strength; 120 psi Lap Shear at 1/8 inch (3 millimeter) thickness and Tear Strength of 25 psi. It will seal curtainwall joints, steel and aluminum windows, and skylights. Indoor uses include bathtubs, showers and sanitary installations (Mildew Resistant Clear, White, Translucent White and Tan contain a fungicide for cured beads that are mildew resistant). In order to help you better select the correct sealant, we have put together a Silicone and Sealant Selector Chart. All CRL Silicone Sealant cartridges are packed with innovative Screw-On Nozzles, offering you a greater yield per tube. They are four inches (ten centimeters) long, and tapered so you can trim the nozzle to exactly the bead size you need. To order additional nozzles, specify Cat. No. S1LN0Z. Technical Data: Meets or exceeds Federal Specifications: TT-S-001543A (COM-NBS) Class A, for silicone building sealants; TT-S-00230C (COM-NBS) Class A, for one-component silicone sealants; ASTM C-920 for elastomer joint sealants, Type S, Grade NS, Class 25, Use NT, G, A; CAN/CGSB 19.13-M87. CRL 33S meets the requirements of FDA Regulation Number 21 CFR 177.2600 for use in food-related applications, such as walk-in freezers and refrigerated trucks.
