Mica Powder Formulation
Metallix paint is pigmented with mica powder to create rich and vibrant metallic finishes that shimmer with depth and dimension. Mica is a versatile material with unique reflective properties that enhance the metallic sheen and colour without metal flakes.
Mix & Tint With Other Paints
Metallix paints can be easily tinted to a variety of shades and hues while retaining their metallic sheen. Mix with other Rosco paints to create lustrous versions of the colours you already know and love!
Flame Retardant With Roscoflamex PA
Unlike metallic paints made with metal flakes, which can corrode when treated with Roscoflamex PA, Rosco Metallix paint is formulated with mica powder, allowing it to be flame retardant without compromising its finish.

Finish: Satin/Reflective
Solvent: Water
Binder Type: Vinyl Acrylic
Recommended Dilution Ratio: If the Metallix paint needs to be let down, add up to 4oz of water per quart or 16oz of water per gallon.
Surface Preparation: Metallix paint should be applied to surfaces that have been primed with an appropriate, high-quality, water base primer that has fully dried. Establishing a base colour for the primer similar to the chosen Metallix colour will result in better coverage and reflectivity.
Application: Stir well before use. Apply in thin, even, uniform coats, using a high-quality brush, roller, or by spraying*. Do not apply when surface or air temperatures are below 50°F (10°C) or above 90°F (32°C). Follow the Recommended Dilution Ratio above if thinner paint is desired. Note that over-thinning may result in loss of hide.
